Clinton

Further out to the south of the city centre is Clinton, features Clinton State School (built1974) and St Johns Primary School (built 1977), as well as recreation reserves on its eastern boundary. Clinton has a few small shopping complexes, Bunnings Shopping Complex and the Harvey Road Tavern. Clinton has been expanding especially with the newly built Kirkwood Road giving Clinton easy access to the City Centre.

Clinton’s historic name dates back from survey work in 1853-55: County of Clinton.
