Virtual age of selling – Walk through homes online

By Emma Grant

USING innovative technology, Ray White Gladstone has found yet another way to sell property in the region.

Recently, the real estate agency has started using video technology to showcase properties on the market.

The video is then uploaded on YouTube and the Ray White Gladstone website to give potential buyers an idea of what the home looks like inside and outside before a private inspection.

Ray White principal Andrew Allen is involved in making the videos come to life.

Out of the two voice-over videos made to date for properties in Gladstone, Mr Allen said both were now under contract.

“We have had positive feedback from buyers,” has said.

“People enjoy being able to view a 30 to 40-second clip of the video rather than work through the photos.

“People are so time poor and love being able to access content on mobile devices and see a video of the property.”

From their new-found technique, Ray White Gladstone is clearly changing the way property is sold and Mr Allen said he expected other
real estate agencies to follow.

“It is good being a market leader on any technology,” he said.

“In the past we’ve used videos to promote our people. Now we’re moving more towards property.”

In their current videos online, Ray White sales agent Julie Wood said she was responsible for the introduction and voice-over for the
properties.

“We do it on the iPad,” she said.

“It adds a point of difference, particularly if people go to the expense of getting professional photos.”
